Atmosphere was wonderful

Great cabin - loved the screened porch. I had daughters-in-law and friends for cocktails and dinner at the Three Coins Restaurant and the drinks, food and atmosphere were wonderful.

Thank You!

We very much enjoyed our stay. Our children loved the beach, playground and the ability to run free without mom & dad watching over them every other moment.
Thanks for giving them this new found freedom!

Surprise 20th Anniversary Party

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Zambon,

As you know, I am Erin and Megan Piehl's grandmother. I want to thank you for helping them surprise their parents with an anniversary party. It seemed that you and your staff went out of your way to make it an event they will long rememer. Once thing I really appreciated was the way you treated the girls the same way you would treat an adult planning a party. Again, thank you!

Sincerely,
Lorraine Klug

Fall Color

The colors are at their peak now. We had a high wind last night and it took a few leaves off the trees, but the color is still spectacular. With our mid week special of $59 starting Oct. 14th, it is a good time to get a way from the bustle of the city and relax in a serene atmosphere. Holiday Acres has something for everyone, from comfortable guest rooms, cozy fireplace cottages, to our executive vacation homes. Take a boat, or better yet, the pontoon boat, out on the lake and just absorb all the color. If you really want to relax, take a kayak or canoe out!! When its time for dinner, relax in our restaurant and look out the windows at the colors and you might even see a deer or two!!

geocaching

Rhonda, Gladys, & Kari finding their first geocache
Have you heard the latest? GEOCACHING!!!! All you need is a sense
of adventure and a GPS. Karen, our front desk person, started us on
this, and she is the one teaching us how to go about it. Karen took
Kari, Rhonda, & Gladys out to find a cache in our area, and after a
lot of laughter and repositioning the GPS (some of us don't have a
clue how to do this you know) we did find it. Proof of the pudding is
in the picture! If we can find it, anyone can. So come visit and we'll
show you how!

What you do is look up on the internet where you want to go and then
pick the site. Then when you choose the site, it will give you
coordinates to put in the GPS. Off you go to find the cache!! It is
the coolest thing and a lot of fun and laughs if you get the right
people to go with you to find the cache. If you are coming up to
stay with us, bring your GPS or we will rent one to you and give
you some pointers on how to use it. We will also have some
printouts so that you won't have to look them up on the internet.

Weather Update

The extended weather forecast calling for snow showers starting this Friday and continuing throughout the weekend into next week.

We still have not received any recent accumulation of snow. Hopefully the snow this weekend will help out the snowmobile trails. Temperatures will be in the low 30' s for the part of the week and on Wednesday mid 30's returning then to low 30's for the rest of the week.

Snowmobile trails are in fair to good condition, a bit icy on the corners.

Think Snow!

Think Snow!

Our Cross Country Ski Trails and Snowshoe Trail are in good condition.
Ice Fishing conditions are said to be good for the next several days.
